Sunita's makerspace – All you need is space

Our Workshops

Satellite Workshop

About 150 people attended today’s workshop at Gajera Global School, which was led by Aeronautical Scientist Mr Sunny Kabrawala. Mr Kabrawla demonstrated how to build satellites and informed students about exciting careers in space science and aeronautical science.

Creative Craft Workshop

Our day-long workshop on lamp shed making was hugely successful with about a hundred participants joining us. Using nothing but cardboard, glue, and plenty of imagination and creativity, learners gave shape to the designs they had in mind. Tomorrow they will exhibit and sell their merchandise to visitors. The workshop was conducted by an expert specially invited from Mumbai.

STAR Lab Astronomy Workshop

The universe has always left us curious about its
creation, its future, the existence of planets like the earth,
the existence of plants and animals.
To answer such questions, learners between the ages of 14 and 18 joined a webinar hosted by Sunita’s Makerspace. It was hosted by Founder-Director of Space Technology and Aeronautical Rocketry Mr. Sunny Kabrawala.

Robotics Workshop

There are not enough students choosing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) related paths to meet the growing global demand. We need to change the way we think about teaching these topics if we want to get more learners involved. Robotics instils and fuels passion for learning new skills and knowledge.

Learning Impressionism

“Art has the power to illuminate, transform, educate, and inspire!” Art Workshop for our creative Art Mentors and Pre-Primary Educators was organized which helped them collaborate and widen the horizons.

Clay Art

Clay art modeling is a fun art activity that involves the sculpting and moulding of clay. The makers and mentors collaborated and created various models to strengthen their hand techniques.

Wire Art

Wire has many uses in art. Bending, twisting, braiding, and wrapping, these are ways to work creatively with wire. Our makers and mentors learned new dimensions of 3D Art using various tools and techniques.

Book Sculpture Workshop

Old and heavy books always seem like a mysterious and infinite well of wisdom and imagination. That moment, when you pick up an old book from a shelf and wipe away the thick layer of dust from its cover, is full of magic. However, a book is so much more than pages full of words.

Robotic Workshop

Children by nature are very curious and they happen to have tons of creative potential, which just needs to be tapped and nurtured. Robotics Workshop is one of the innovative and an interesting method of teaching Science, Technology, Engineering and Math to school students.
