Sunita's makerspace – All you need is space
Can a wax mix be the harbinger of ideas?
Well, we vouch that our participants from the age group of 7-18 have expressed it very eloquently through their lines, curves, and shades. It has been a rain of colors at Sunita’s Makerspace, ever since we announced the crayon competition. “World in my eyes” refracted through different and varied colors of crayon and flooded the digital platform SM Space. All participants gave us the sea of the creative and we need to grab the best out of it. Winners of the best creative were announced.
It coincided with the Festival of Colours, bringing out the happiness of creation through the ocean of colors, through art and imagination. We opened the entry gates of the competition on March 11 and closed it on March 24, 2021. We received 830 entries within this fortnight and we had a herculean task on hand to judge these budding ‘Crayonists’!
On National Crayon Day on March 31, filled with the fond memories of childhood creations, our beloved Trustee Ms. Kinjal Gajera declared the winners of the competition. E-certificates of participation were also given away to all the participants.
Every Child is an artist in his or her way. Art is a conscious use of creative imagination to express beauty, creativity, conceptual ideas. It’s a matter of pride that the initiative of Smakerspace to reach out to the budding creators and innovators are well appreciated.
Each of us brings the color of uniqueness, individuality, skills, and gifts to the group, and without all the colors we wouldn’t be…well colorful, a complete box of crayons. The unique characteristics of the crayon, the way they can add color just in the right place, at the right time, to the canvas, and without all the colors, the artwork would not be complete.
Hearty congratulations to all the winners for showing their creativity about imagining the world through their eyes. Considering the concept, technique, and creativity of an individual, we are delighted to announce the winners of this competition. Every participant’s talent showcased their artwork using their imagination with crayons. Art can speak things that can’t always be said with words. Through your art, you have reminded us of what’s possible, and seeing the world through your eyes was an amazing experience for all of us. The artwork that you created using only crayon colors, were astonishing.
