Sunita’s Makerspace has always been ready to instill the values required by learners to grow into successful individuals. School adventure trips allow them to learn new life skills and help them explore many new things from fresh perspectives. Completely new and unfamiliar environment can keep them encouraged and resolve various curiosities. It gives them a much better understanding of the world.
Learners of Gajera Group of Schools, were fortunate to explore their prowess through the field trip on 12/12/2021 to – Tamiya which is located at an altitude over 3000 ft, amidst rolling meadows & maize farms, the camp is spread over 18 Acres of a cliff and has a spectacular view of the Patalkot Valley.
The journey started at night and reached the campsite Tamiya (MP) the next Day. After reaching the spot, Learners were welcomed and were served breakfast amidst nature’s ambience. Later students were divided into 2 groups named Junglions and Monglions. Both groups were very excited to blow away themselves into adventurous journey at the campsite.
The adrenaline Charged atmosphere ensured students to come out of their comfort zone and face the challenges with zest and conviction. Each outdoor activity had a defined curriculum and was led by a team of experts. It was a heavenly feeling for the learners as they were exposed to technologically free environment.
The games like rappelling, night out and nature walk helped learners to explore their innate potential and building confidence with an attitude ‘I CAN’ and ‘I WILL’. They learnt that in every walk in with nature one receives far more than he seeks. The team tried to expose learners to few team building games like-Helter Skelter and many more. These games helped them to learn a few skills like trust, decision-making, problem-solving, adaptability and leadership qualities. Thus this field trip provided student a new vista to move ahead in a right way.
They experienced that they never knew the love of parent till they became parents of themselves as they made their own tents, washed their own utensils and took care of their own stuff. The campus had beautiful trekking trails, exciting rock faces and a built-up ropes course structure. Large open spaces were available for games and activities.
